This Cookie Policy explains how Route Planner LLC ("Route Planner," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites, web applications, and other online services that link to this Policy (collectively, the "Online Services"). It also explains the choices available to visitors and users.
This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy. Terms such as "personal information," "sale," "sharing," and "targeted advertising" have the meanings assigned by applicable privacy law where that law applies.
1. WHAT COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES ARE
Cookies are small text files stored on a browser or device when a person visits a website. Cookies can allow a website to recognize a browser, maintain a session, remember choices, support security, understand usage, or provide other functionality.
We may also use technologies that operate similarly, including local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, software development kits ("SDKs"), device identifiers, embedded scripts, and server-side event tools. References to "cookies" in this Policy include these similar technologies unless the context requires otherwise.
2. FIRST-PARTY AND THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGIES
First-party cookies. These are set by Route Planner or on Route Planner's behalf for the Online Services.
Third-party cookies. These are set or accessed by another organization that provides services to Route Planner, such as infrastructure, security, customer support, analytics, payments, media, or advertising. A third party's independent processing is governed by its own privacy disclosures.
The provider, purpose, category, and duration of each technology must be listed in Schedule A or in the live Cookie Preference Center before it is activated in production.
3. COOKIE CATEGORIES

A technology's category depends on its actual purpose and configuration, not merely the vendor's name. If one technology serves multiple purposes, Route Planner will apply the most protective applicable consent setting or separate the purposes where technically feasible.
4. STRICTLY NECESSARY TECHNOLOGIES
Strictly Necessary technologies are required to provide an Online Service or a feature specifically requested by the user. They may support login sessions, security, fraud prevention, network management, subscription checkout, privacy choices, and similar core operations.
Because these technologies are necessary for the Online Services to function, they cannot ordinarily be disabled through the Cookie Preference Center. A user may be able to block them through browser settings, but doing so may prevent the Online Services from working correctly.
5. FUNCTIONAL TECHNOLOGIES
Functional technologies support optional features and remember choices, such as interface preferences or optional embedded content. Where applicable law requires consent, these technologies will not be activated until the user enables them.
6. ANALYTICS AND PERFORMANCE TECHNOLOGIES
Analytics and Performance technologies may help Route Planner understand how visitors and Authorized Users interact with the Online Services, identify errors, measure page and feature performance, and improve usability. Route Planner will configure these technologies to minimize data collection where reasonably possible.
Under the recommended consent configuration, Analytics and Performance technologies remain inactive until a user chooses to enable them. Route Planner may use privacy-preserving server logs or aggregated operational metrics that do not require access to a user's device, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
7. ADVERTISING AND SOCIAL-MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES
Route Planner does not use Customer Data or End Customer information for third-party advertising. If Route Planner later uses advertising, campaign-attribution, retargeting, or social-media technologies on its public marketing website, those technologies will remain inactive until enabled through the consent system where required.
Route Planner does not sell Customer Data or End Customer information for monetary consideration. If a website disclosure constitutes a "sale," "sharing," or use for targeted advertising under applicable law, Route Planner will provide the legally required opt-out and will update this Policy and its Privacy Policy before engaging in that practice.
8. HOW CONSENT WORKS
When a visitor first accesses the Online Services, Route Planner's consent system may present choices concerning non-essential technologies. Except where applicable law permits a different approach, non-essential technologies will remain disabled unless the visitor affirmatively enables them.
The consent interface will provide substantially equal and easy-to-find choices to accept all non-essential technologies, reject them, or manage preferences by category. Strictly Necessary technologies remain active. Continuing to browse without making a choice will not be treated as consent where affirmative consent is required.
9. CHANGING OR WITHDRAWING A CHOICE
A visitor may review or change cookie choices at any time through the "Cookie Settings" or "Privacy Choices" link in the website footer or application settings. Withdrawal will apply prospectively and will not affect processing that occurred before the preference was changed.
If a visitor clears cookies, uses another browser or device, or is not signed in, Route Planner may be unable to recognize an earlier choice. The consent system may therefore request a choice again.
10. GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL AND UNIVERSAL OPT-OUT SIGNALS
Where applicable law requires Route Planner to recognize a qualifying browser- or device-based universal opt-out preference signal, Route Planner will process that signal as an opt-out of qualifying sale, sharing, or targeted advertising for the browser or device that sends it. Global Privacy Control ("GPC") is an example of such a signal.
A universal opt-out signal does not ordinarily disable Strictly Necessary technologies. Route Planner may display a confirmation that the signal has been honored. If Route Planner can associate the signal with a known Account and applicable law requires broader application, Route Planner will apply it as required by law.
11. DO NOT TRACK
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no single universally applied standard governing all Do Not Track signals, Route Planner's response may depend on the browser, technology, and applicable law. This section does not limit Route Planner's obligation to recognize a qualifying GPC or other legally required universal opt-out signal.
12. BROWSER AND DEVICE CONTROLS
Most browsers allow users to view, remove, or block cookies. Device settings may also control identifiers, local storage, advertising permissions, or application tracking. Blocking technologies through a browser or device may not remove information already collected and may affect website or application functionality.
13. RETENTION
Cookie duration varies by purpose. Session technologies generally expire when the browser session ends. Persistent technologies remain for the period listed in Schedule A or the live Cookie Preference Center unless the user deletes them earlier. Route Planner will not configure a technology to persist longer than reasonably necessary for its disclosed purpose.
The consent-preference record is a Strictly Necessary technology and is expected to remain for approximately 180 days unless changed, deleted, or renewed earlier. Route Planner may request consent again after expiration or when the Online Services, vendors, purposes, or legal requirements materially change.
14. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND EMBEDDED CONTENT
The Online Services may link to or embed content from third-party services. If optional embedded content can set or access non-essential technologies, Route Planner will block it until the required choice is made. Route Planner does not control the independent privacy practices of third-party websites reached through an external link.
15. CHILDREN
The Online Services are business services and are not directed to children under thirteen. Route Planner does not knowingly use cookies to profile children for targeted advertising. Customers remain responsible for determining whether their own use involves information concerning minors and for complying with applicable law.
16. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
Route Planner may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, vendors, law, or our practices. The "Last Updated" date identifies the current version. Where required, Route Planner will request a new choice before using a technology for a materially different purpose.
